A Note About Pearl-Backed Tiles
Our pearl-backed mahjong tiles are made with a beautiful pearlescent material that can naturally deepen or shift in color with prolonged exposure to UV light or direct sunlight. This is an inherent characteristic of pearl acrylic materials and is not unique to our tiles.
To preserve their original color, we recommend storing your tiles in their case and away from direct sunlight when not in use.
As with many specialty materials, slight changes over time are part of their natural beauty and do not affect the playability of your tiles.

Please note that this product is currently available on a pre-order basis. The estimated shipping windows listed on each product page indicate when orders are expected to begin shipping — they are not guaranteed delivery dates. Pre-orders ship in the order they are received, so your place in line depends on when your order was placed. Occasional delays due to production or fulfillment may occur outside of our control.
Once shipping begins, orders are processed quickly and you will receive a tracking number by email as soon as yours ships. Delivery timelines will then depend on your location and selected shipping method, but most orders arrive within a few business days after shipment.
Orders with pre-order or made-to-order items
To keep your order together and minimize packaging, we ship every order complete — meaning all items are sent in one shipment. When an order includes a pre-order or made-to-order piece, the entire order ships once that item becomes available, determined by the item with the latest estimated ship date.
The estimated timing for each item is shown on its product page and at checkout, and we'll notify you if a date changes.
If you'd like to receive your in-stock items right away, we recommend placing those items in a separate order.

At Anders Ruff Design Co., we are committed to exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and beautiful quality in every collection we create.
Due to the nature of the production process, slight variations or small imperfections may naturally occur from tile to tile. These subtle details are cosmetic only and do not affect gameplay, functionality, or the overall integrity of the set. In many ways, they are part of what makes each collection uniquely beautiful.
Upon initial unwrapping, a light residue from the manufacturing process may occasionally be present. This can easily be removed with a soft, clean cloth and will not impact gameplay or finish quality.
While we strive to represent products as accurately as possible, colors, patterns, and finishes may appear slightly different in person due to screen settings, lighting, photography editing, and production variations.
All website images are representative of the product, but minor differences may be present in the final item received.
Care Instructions
Your Mahjong Tiles are designed to be both beautiful and lasting. To keep them looking their best:
• Store your set in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity
• Avoid leaving tiles in hot cars or damp environments, as extreme temperatures and moisture may cause fading or warping over time
• Wipe tiles gently with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth
• For deeper cleaning, use a lightly damp microfiber cloth, then dry immediately
• Avoid soaking tiles, and steer clear of harsh chemicals, alcohol-based cleaners, or abrasive materials
• Store tiles in the included case when not in use to prevent scratching.
Tile Return Policy
Our Mahjong tile sets are thoughtfully designed collectible pieces and become final sale once opened.
We gladly accept returns on unopened tile sets within 7 days of delivery provided that:
- Tiles remain sealed in original shrink wrap
- All original accessories, inserts, dice, pouches, and packaging are included
- The set is returned unused and in original condition
Approved tile returns are subject to:
- A $35 restocking fee
- Customer-paid return shipping costs
Opened tile sets are not eligible for return or exchange unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect.
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@andersruff.com with:
- Your order number
- A brief description of the issue
- Clear photos of the item and packaging
Once reviewed, our team will determine the best resolution, which may include a replacement tile, replacement set, store credit, or refund.
For active collections, replacement tiles may be available based on inventory. Retired collections or discontinued designs may have limited replacement availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Please note:
- All tile return requests must be approved prior to shipping items back to us.
- Returns sent without authorization may be refused.
- We are not responsible for carrier shipping delays, lost packages marked as delivered, or incorrect shipping addresses entered at checkout.
Orders placed through boutiques, retailers, Etsy, TikTok Shop, Amazon, or other third-party sellers must be handled directly through the original place of purchase. Anders Ruff Design Co. is unable to process refunds or exchanges for third-party orders.
