Brownstone Bloom is a Mahjong collection by Anders Ruff and award-winning Indigo Pruitt Design Studio, making its debut in The Analog Room of the Real Simple Home 2026 — designed by Marie Cloud in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. This collection is inspired by the timeless character of a Brooklyn brownstone and adapted from a signature wallpaper by interior designer Marie Cloud of Indigo Pruitt Design Studio.

The Brownstone Bloom tile set proves that simplicity is its own kind of distinction. Every suit is rendered with a quiet, understated simplicity, the Craks as graceful Chinese numerals with subtle botanical texture, the Bams as slender bamboo anchored by a striking peacock as the One Bam, the Dots as clean, tonal medallions in soft lavender and mauve, and the Dragons beautifully recast as dragonflies framed in delicate borders, with a crisp framed Soap completing the trio and the Winds lettered in the collection's rich, moody palette.

The craftsmanship is in the details. Every tile is etched and hand paint-filled, worked over a distinctive texture that gives each one a quiet depth you can feel as much as see, while an unexpected metallic shimmer catches the light across the lavender Dots, the peacock, and the crowned Jokers.
